Shirley Schumacher, Senior Vice President of Field Sales and Marketing
As Senior Vice President of Field Sales, Shirley Schumacher is taking the leading role in USA’s field sales organization. The company is looking to Schumacher to spearhead development of a high-performance field sales team and to implement strategic plans and necessary changes for accelerating profitable growth.
Shirley has over three decades of direct sales management experience, including executive roles with Fortune 500 firms like Honeywell and General Electric. From 2010 to 2013, as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Univar Corporation, a global $10 billion distributor of industrial chemicals, she led the U.S. Division in sales and customer service, including over 300 sales professionals and 200 service professionals.
Before Univar, Shirley was Senior Vice President of Sales for a uniform and career apparel company. She held P&L responsibility for a $1.8 billion sales organization in three geographically dispersed businesses, including 440 account executives, 140 inside sales representatives, 90 retail sales, and 24 national accounts sales professionals. Her responsibilities included defining strategy and leading a team of six sales vice presidents in implementing sales strategies to include account segmentation, sales organization alignment and structure, staffing requirements, channel optimization and support of infrastructure needs.
The scale of her experience and the extent of her expertise in strategic planning, sales management, corporate accounts, and P&L management qualify Shirley to lead the USA field sales organization to reach established goals for new sales and organic growth, customer service and retention, and revenue and profitability.
Shirley holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Illinois.
