Attentive Security Helps Ailing Truck Driver

Branch 118, St. Louis Park, MN

On July 20, Officer Rod Hopkins was processing out trucks departing a shipping warehouse near Minneapolis when he happened upon a driver doubled over the steering wheel of his truck.

Hopkins asked the driver if he was OK, and the driver responded, “No.”

Hopkins quickly contacted the facility’s security supervisor who called 9-1-1 for an ambulance. Paramedics arrived and took the driver to the hospital for treatment.

Officer Hopkins prevented a potential accident that could have had widespread impact had the driver left the facility. Thanks to his attentiveness, the driver received the medical treatment he needed.
