Nick Alleva is a Senior Project Manager for U.S. Security Associates specializing in pharmaceutical related investigations. He has over 35 years of expertise serving in the private sector and with federal law enforcement. He has extensive experience managing complex investigations involving long term undercover assignments, including organized crime cases.
Prior to joining Andrews International, Alleva had a distinguished career with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), spanning over 27 years. During his tenure, he was a Group Supervisor for the New York field division on violence and community impact. In this capacity, he ensured compliance and acted as liaison with the Chief Counsel's office in Washington, D.C., focusing on internal legal matters. Alleva also worked in several senior supervisory positions during his term with the DEA including, Chief of Staff to the Special Agent in Charge for the New York field division, Group Supervisor in the Connecticut and New York field offices, and Training Coordinator.
Subsequent to the DEA, Alleva served as Director of Manufacturing for a generic drug company. His responsibilities included oversight of solid and liquid dosage forms manufacturing and the health and safety and engineering and maintenance departments. He also served as Corporate Director of DEA Compliance overseeing liaison and compliance matters with the DEA. Additionally, Alleva served as the company's Corporate Ethics Officer.
Alleva is a graduate of St. John's College of Pharmacy in New York. He is the recipient of several awards of recognition including the DEA's Superior Performance Award in 1972, 1976, 1979, 1983, 1986, 1993 and 1995, and the 1991 Medal of Valor from the International Narcotics Officers Association. He is an experienced guest lecturer and has appeared for several years before the senior class of Harvard Law School.
