ATLANTA – June 10, 2015 – U.S. Security Associates (USA) recognizes two security officers for their swift action in preventing potential injuries and asset loss at client sites. The actions of these dedicated officers demonstrate the effectiveness of the USA selective employment policies, strict applicant screening, and comprehensive learning and development programs. Each security officer assigned to a client site must complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of pre-assignment training, and once assigned, engages in site-specific and on-the-job-training.
In Moreno Valley, California, Security Officer Josue Arana remained calm and put his training into practice during a potentially life-threatening incident. During a recent patrol of a client site parking lot, Officer Arana encountered a car that was on fire. Following established procedures, Officer Arana acted quickly and used a fire extinguisher to quash the fire before it spread. The fire was extinquished before the arrival of fire fighters. As a result, there were no injuries and no additional damage.
In San Diego, California, Security Officer James Agee observed suspicious activity and prevented a possible theft attempt at a client hotel site. While on patrol, Officer Agee noticed two males walking in a hallway around 3:00 a.m. When Officer Agee greeted the men and offered to direct the men to their room, the men bolted in different directions. Officer Agee immediately called for back up and then pursued the men. Following the men outside, he saw them fleeing, one driving away in a car and a the other running on foot. When police arrived, Officer Agee gave a full report of the incident, including a description of the men. He then worked with the police to search the building to ensure the security of the site. Due to the actions of Officer Agee, there were no signs of a break in and no theft of or damage to property.
The client extended their gratitude for Officer Agee’s actions, “The USA security officer was diligent in doing his job. He was alert and aware on his rounds and acted to prevent possible theft or damage. We are very thankful.”
“We rely on our security officers to rise to the occasion when it really counts, and USA is committed to recognizing their actions when they do,” explains John Muldoon, President of of U.S. Security Associates’ West Division. “The exemplary performance of Officers Arana and Agee confirm the effectiveness of USA’s training programs.”
Because of his swift action in putting out the fire and preventing futher damage and possible injuries, USA acknowledges Officer Arana with a Meritorious Service Certificate. For his actions in deterring a possible theft, USA acknowledges Officer Agee with a Certificate of Appreciation for Exemplary Performance.
