U.S. Security Associates (USA) provides contract security services for three Class "A" office buildings held by one of our major commercial real estate customers.
Key performance indicators at the account revealed staffing issues. The quality of security officers and turnover rate were not up to par with the standards and expectations of USA or the customer. The security program needed a thorough evaluation and performance improvement plan.
USA's account management team met with the customer to discuss corrective action planning and recommended a re-engineering survey at the three sites to assess current needs, resources and areas for improvement at each location.

USA was able to provide higher quality security officers with a 22% wage increase at the account, yet reduced client billing 23% by optimizing resources with an alternate security coverage approach. After the security program was re-engineered, one of the buildings was recognized as Office of the Year by Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), an honor that the customer credited in part to the appearance and professionalism of USA security officers.
